COVID-19 Webinar: #4 What is the future of health care ecosystems?

27. November 2020 / 13:0015:00

A webinar of the European Health Property Network hosted by Ramboll and walkerproject

November 27th, 2020 / 13:00 – 15:00 CET

As the Covid-19 pandemic has unfolded across the world, health care systems have been required to make radical adjustments to their operating procedures, their models of care and their hospital capacity in many areas, including intensive and critical care. Many systems must now juggle a second wave of the virus with re-establishing a range of services and care pathways. Resilience has become the watchword.

An international working group consisting of the European Health Property Network, walkerproject, White arkitekter and Ramboll has worked on deriving strategies for resilient health care systems based on a multitude of European and global case studies. The project is progressing through a series of webinars and creation of a field guide on how to bolster resilience by preparing staff, systems, space, and supply chains for the challenges of a pandemic situation. The associated data and analysis will be shared on a dedicated website, alongside a broad range of case studies. This will be an important future resource for health policy professionals, senior health care leaders and infrastructure experts.

On November 27th, we invite you to join the Webinar #4, which will focus on the future of health care ecosystems. Discussions will be triggered by case examples from Sweden, Australia, Denmark and Spain by the following questions:

  • What determines whether a system can deliver when parts of it are in distress?
  • Which new ways of working together across silos have emerged to meet the pandemic challenges?
  • What are the determining factors for dealing with and ensuring the functioning of the health care system?
  • What are measures to support staff members working at the frontline to prevent negative long-term effects?
